Welcome to the Book Review blog of the LDS Forever Friends Email Group. This is where you'll book reviews of every book we read. Orson F. Whitney said, "We will yet have Miltons and Shakespeares of our own. God's ammunition is not exhausted. His brightest spirits are held in reserve for the latter times. In God's name and by his help we will build up a literature whose top shall touch heaven, though its foundations may now be low in earth."

Cruel Intent by J.A. Jance (Ali Reynolds Series #4)
Cruel Intent by J.A. Jance
In her new Ali Reynolds suspense novel, we see Ali up to her neck in identity theft, computer hijinks and house remodeling mixed in. Ali's construction boss is suspected by most of the townsfolk as being the one who murdered his wife, but Ali is sure of his innocence and with a computer geek's help, goes out of their way to prove it, even with endangering their own lives and those close to them. It takes Ali and her pistol-packin' mother to save the day and render the killer defenseless until the cops show up. If you like your murder mysteries laced with a slice of humor, you'll love this new offering from Ms. Jance.

The Great And Terrible Vol. 2: Where Angels Fall by Chris Stewart
THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE VOL 2: WHERE ANGELS FALL by Chris Stewart
This second installment of Chris's mesmerizing last days series, leaves you wan ting more. We see Ammon, Luke, Sam and Elizabeth battling evil in our mortal world. With General Neil Brighton, his two twin sons Ammon and Luke and his adopted son Sam striving for good, Neil strives to understand what is troubling his close friend, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Sam sees the horror of war as a soldier in the Special Ops Forces and sees much more than he ever bargains for in Iran. Elizabeth is born into an Iranian family and lives the humble life of a village girl, staying close to her father and to God. Ammon and Luke learn the hard way to rely on God to get through life's hardest struggles. I can't wait to see how Elizabeth (Azadeh) rejoins with her brothers in Vol. 3. This series is absolutely thrilling, is a page-turner and is more amazing, as what is unfolding between these pages, is unfolding in front of our eyes!!!!

Prologue The Brothers: Vol. I The Great and Terrible by Chris Stewart
Prologue: The Brothers Vol. I The Great and Terrible: by Chris Stewart
I had heard of this book when it first came out, but it wasn't until the last one came out that I needed to see what all the excitement was. This first in a series is totally amazing, and Chris is a master story teller in weaving the story of the war in heaven. This novel simply tells the story of Ammon, Luke, Sam and their younger sister Elizabeth and their fighting to save their brothers, who are undecided on the choices they make, as their choices will set their destiny. I was amazed at how spiritual this story was and Chris makes you really think about our pre-mortal days and how it can impact our mortal lives. Even though this is a quick read, the eternal perspectives are mind-boggling!!!! If you haven't read this nail-biter (I don't bite them anymore) do read it.
