Whitney said, "We will yet have Miltons and Shakespeares of our own. God's ammunition is not exhausted. His brightest spirits are held in reserve for the latter times. In God's name and by his help we will build up a literature whose top shall touch heaven, though its foundations may now be low in earth."

The Spirit of Christmas: Stories of the Seasons by Jennie Hansen, Betsy Brannon Green, Michele Ashman Bell
The Spirit of Christmas: Stories of the Season by Jennie Hansen, Betsy Brannon Green, Michele Ashman Bell
I just got this charming little Christmas gem a week ago from Covenant and I thoroughly enjoyed reading these three different stories of how three different people learn the true meaning of the spirit of Christmas. In Jennie's The Best Christmas Ever, we find Janie thinking she's the cause of Santa not coming to her home this Christmas, but looks can be deceiving, as she learns just what Christmas is. In Betsy's heartwarming way with Miss Eugenia's kindly meddlesome ways in The Haggerty Christmas Miracle, Miss Eugenia finds the true way to make a miracle with all the town's help, and in A Port In the Storm, Michele's wonderful story amidst the Oregon Coast she writes about so well, we find Sophie learning that curling up alone for the Christmas holidays at a Bed & Breakfast, isn't what its cracked up to be and she finds more than she bargains for. A warm and cozy little book to curl up with during this Christmas season. Thanks, dear friends.
